Akon, SuperM’s Lucas, Boney M to headline Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival in November

Global sensation and R&B singer Akon, R&B group Boney M, and SuperM’s Lucas will be headlining the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival to be held in November 2024. Apart from this, K-pop group SuperM member and former NCT member Lucas will also make his first performance in India at the festival.

As per the officials, Akon will perform as part of his Superfan Tour. Rockski EMG organized the Superfan Tour in collaboration with his company Konvict Touring. During this tour, he will perform one show in every country in Asia from November to December, with additional stops in as many as eight countries.

Meanwhile, Thai and Hong Kong rapper Lucas recently made his solo debut with Renegade. He is even a member of the supergroup SuperM.

In addition, officials said Boney M’s performance at the festival is part of its farewell tour, which will also feature launching member Maizie Williams.

The Cherry Blossom Festival has a record of amazing lineups that have successfully drawn audiences from across the country over the years. Last year, the celebration featured a stellar performance by Ne-Yo and Ronan Keating, which brought in a huge crowd.

In addition, the Cherry Blossom event will be held on November 16, 2024. The 2024 Cherry Blossom Festival edition is particularly significant as it features Boney M’s farewell tour including founding member Maizie Williams. Tickets are open on the entertainment venue BookMyShow.

Tickets for the event were available online, starting at ₹3,299. According to BookMyShow, passes are also available for ₹6999, ₹8999, and ₹13999 – which is the highest price.
