Central Railway to run 28 festival special trains for Chhath, Diwali

Given the increasing demand for passengers during the festive season, Indian Railway has announced to run about two dozen special festival trains. This step aims to reduce the rush during Diwali, Durga Puja, Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam, and Chhath Puja.

Now, here’s good news for those who live away from their families or are planning to travel with their loved ones. Central Railway will run 28 special festival trains for Chhath and Diwali to meet the growing demand during the festive season.

Apart from this, Southern Railway has also launched two special trains given the increased number of passengers during the Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath festivals.

Central Railway Festival special trains: Lista and details

01. LTT Mumbai-Banaras Weekly Special (4 trips)

• Train 01053: Will depart from LTT Mumbai on Wednesday (30.10.2024. Plus 06.11.2024) at 12:15 hrs and arrive at Banaras at 16:05 hrs the next day.
• Train 01054: Will depart from Banaras on Thursday (31.10.2024 & 07.11.2024) at 20:30 hrs. Plus, arrive LTT Mumbai at 23:55 hrs the next day.
• Composition: 6 AC-III Tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 3 Second Class coaches. Plus, a Guard Brake Van and a Generator Car, total 20 LHB coaches.

02. LTT Mumbai-Danapur Bi-Weekly Special (8 trips)

• Train 01009: Departs from LTT Mumbai on Monday & Saturday (26.10.2024, 28.10.2024, 02.11.2024 & 04.11.2024) at 12:15 hrs and reaches Danapur at 17:00 hrs the following day.
• Train 01010: Departs from Danapur on Tuesday & Sunday (27.10.2024, 29.10.2024, 03.11.2024 & 05.11.2024) at 18:15 hrs and reaches LTT Mumbai at 23:55 hrs the subsequent day.
• Composition: 6 AC-III Tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 3 Second Class coaches, along with one Guard Brake Van and one Generator Car, a total of 20 LHB coaches.

03. LTT Mumbai-Samastipur Weekly Special (4 trips)

• Train 01043: Will depart from LTT Mumbai on Thursday (31.10.2024 & 07.11.2024) at 12:15 hrs and arrive in Samastipur on the next day at 21:15 hrs.
• Train 01044: Will depart from Samastipur on Friday (01.11.2024 & 08.11.2024) at 23:20 hrs and arrive at LTT Mumbai on the third day at 07:40 hrs.
• Composition: 6 AC-III Tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 3 Second Class coaches including one Guard Brake Van and one Generator Car, a total 20 LHB coaches.

04. LTT Mumbai-Prayagraj Weekly Special (4 trips)

• Train 01045: Will depart from LTT Mumbai on Tuesday (29.10.2024 & 05.11.2024) at 12:15 hrs. Plus, it arrived at Prayagraj at 11:20 hrs the next day.
• Train 01046: Will depart from Prayagraj on Wednesday (30.10.2024 & 06.11.2024) at 18:50 hrs. Moreover, it arrived at LTT Mumbai at 16:05 hrs the next day.
• Composition: 2 AC-III Tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 8 Second Class coaches. In addition, 2 Guards Brake Van, a total of 18 ICF coaches.

05. LTT Mumbai-Gorakhpur Bi-Weekly Special (8 trips)

• Train No. 01123: Will depart from LTT Mumbai at 12:15 hrs on Friday & Sunday (25.10.2024, 27.10.2024, 01.11.2024 & 03.11.2024). It will arrive in Gorakhpur at 18:55 hrs the next day.
• Train No. 01124: Will depart from Gorakhpur at 21:15 hrs on Saturday & Monday (26.10.2024, 28.10.2024, 02.11.2024 & 04.11.2024). Plus, it will arrive at LTT Mumbai at 07:25 hrs on the third day.
• Composition: 2 AC-III Tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 8 Second Class coaches. Plus, 2 Guard Brake Van, a total of 18 ICF coaches.
