Ganesh Visarjan 2024: Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most auspicious 10-day festivals. The festival concludes with a grand celebration known as Ganesh Visarjan, where devotees dip the idol of Lord Ganesh in water bodies. Ganesh Visarjan is believed the most important day to perform Anant Chaturdashi.

According to the Hindu calendar, Ganesh Visarjan takes place after 10 days of celebration of the Ganesh Utsav. It falls in the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month.

Significance of Ganesh Visarjan

Ganesh Visarjan is a ritual, that is done to represent the birth cycle of Lord Ganesha. Just as he was created for the clay, his symbolic ideol created in the same way. The idol of Lord Ganesh is immersed in the water so that Lord Ganesh can return to his home after staying in the devotee’s home.
