MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024 will start on October 19

Mumbai Film Festival 2024: Every year, the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival is organized by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) in South Asia. This festival aims to present the best of cinema and foster a large ecosystem for cinematic voices. At the festival, handpicked films from across genres are carefully selected based on artistic merit, cultural diversity, and relevance to contemporary issues.

In 2024, the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024 is set to take place between October 19 and October 24. Moreover, it promises a celebration of world cinema, community, culture, and creativity. Furthermore, it will host a series of over 110 films in more than 50 languages. It include features and non-features in all genres, from across the world to Mumbai.

Interim Festival Director, Shivendra Singh Dungarpur said, “As an independent charitable organisation MAMI relies entirely on the generosity of its partners and sponsors. The scale of each edition of the festival depends solely on the extent of the support we receive during the year. We are extremely grateful to each and every partner that has stood with us this transition year so that we can continue to bring the best of independent and world cinema to our wonderful audiences in the 2024 edition of MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.”

The Festival will host an industry Programme in partnership with MAMI’s community Partner, Soho House Mumbai. The third-day event will contain talks and workshops aimed at the city’s film talent.

Moreover, the Festival held since 1997 aims to build an ecosystem for new cinematic voices, facilitating the exchange of ideas, collaboration, and business opportunities while bringing the best world cinema to Mumbai.
