The gentleman who celebrates this day is Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who was born on September 5, 1888. He was the second President of India from 1962 to 1967. Before becoming the President, he was a renowned academician and served as a professor at several prestigious universities including the University of Calcutta and the University of Oxford.
Moreover, he was even the first Vice President of India, serving in the post from 1952 to 1962.
