Ashwin Month 2024: Bhadrapad ends and Ashwin begins. It also known as Aswayuja is the 7th month of the lunisolar Hindu calendar. The 9-day Navratri festival is set to be celebrated during the month. Navratri festival will begin on Thursday, October 3, 2024, and ends on October 12, Saturday. This festival is celebrated in honor of Goddess Durga, a form of the supreme goddess Adi Shakti.
Moreover, the Navratri celebration includes worship of the nine goddesses, stage decorations, recitation of mythological tales, storytelling on stage, reading of Hindu religious texts, and Garba. On the last day of the Navrati, Dussehra celebrated the victory of good over evil. Dussehra is also known as Vijayadashami celebrates the victory of Lord Ram over King Ravana.
